So…how can I help you specifically?
I am a firm believer in working with each individual client as a team to figure out what the best treatment plan will be. I have had enough experiences, personal and professional, to know that one single approach does not work for every person. I made a promise to myself a long time ago that I would never become stagnant in learning and exploring different approaches to working with clients. Because of that, I am committed to continually researching, reading, and taking courses to always have a well-rounded and ever expanding “bank” of tools, ideas, and treatment modalities to share with you. That being said, there are always going to be a handful of general approaches that work really well for me, and areas where I don’t have much experience in. If I ever feel as though I don’t have the right tools to give you the quality of treatment that you need, I will always be honest with you and work with you to find someone who is better equipped.
Your role in therapy is just as important as mine. Actually, in my opinion, it is even more important. Sure, I am trained and educated to be able to support you in whatever you are experiencing, but you will always be the expert of yourself and your personal experiences. I always encourage clients to take a leading role in the mental health services they are receiving, and I want nothing more than to work alongside you to make sure this experience is exactly what you need it to be. I will consistently check in with you to make sure everything is still working for you. My role is to support you, and I can only do a great job at that with your help!

How to get started and what to expect
You reach out
If you are interested in working with me, the first step is for you to fill out my contact form with a little more information about you and what you are looking for. This is just some very basic information to help me in confirming we would be a good fit before setting up our consultation call.
Consultation call
If it seems like we would be a good fit, I will reach out to you to set up a free 20 minute consultation call. This is where I will formally introduce myself, get a little more detail about you and what you’re looking for, and confirm with you that this is the right fit.
Setting up sessions
At the end of our phone consultation, we would set up a time for our first session (or few). The first few sessions will always be focused on getting to know each other, fully understanding what you’re looking to get out of therapy, and setting up a treatment plan.
